Real People. Real Struggles. Real Understanding.
Life hits hard. Addiction, loss, anxiety, broken trust, financial hardship, loneliness—most of us have been through some of it, some of us through all of it. The IFC Listening Ministry exists because we’ve learned that healing begins when someone finally listens without judgment or agenda.
We’re not professional counselors. We’re people who have lived, fallen, rebuilt, and found peace through experience, community, and faith. Our strength is empathy born from the real world—not textbooks or scripts.
What We Offer
- A Safe Place to Talk – No judgment, no labels, no pressure to “get over it.” Just honest conversation with someone who understands.
- Experienced Listeners – Our ministers and volunteers have over a century of combined experience facing life’s hardest challenges—addiction, loss, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and recovery.
- Practical Guidance – When invited, we share insight and tools that helped us survive and grow. Simple truths, not theories.
- Organic Support – Sometimes it’s a talk, sometimes it’s help finding resources, sometimes it’s just knowing someone cares.
Why We Exist
Because not everyone fits into systems built on forms and fees. Some people just need another human being who listens like it matters. That’s what we do. We hold space for healing to happen naturally.
Who It’s For
Anyone who feels unseen, unheard, or overwhelmed. Anyone trying to find their way back to peace. You don’t need to be a member of IFC, follow a belief system, or have it “together.” Just reach out.
